Has Anyone Tried any of The Environmentally Friendly Household Cleaners?

In the past year, door-to-door salesmen have been selling the environmentally friendly
cleaners made by Protek and Eco-Orange.  I must say, to be as expensive as these cleaners are, they did not impress me to say the least.

First of all, they require you to mix the solution differently depending on what kind of surface you're cleaning.  And even though the instructions are clear, I felt like I was a chemist instead of a cleaner.  So, after mixing the solution with water per the instructions, the solution was not doing the job that I expected.  I mean, Walmart's environmentally un-friendly chemicals work much better.

That was my experience with these cleaners.  Has any of you had a different or similar experience?  I would love to hear from you on this subject.
